Nursery
Nursery
The
Nursery classroom at Kid's 1st is for children six weeks to twelve months, and
a great deal of individual attention is given to each child in this group. We don't want to hover in a stifling way over the active exploration of this
age group, but we maintain their safety at all times.
Toddlers
Toddlers
Toddlers are curious about everything and becoming increasingly independent. Our teachers embrace that as they support the growth of important skills they need for the future. Kid’s 1st toddler classroom a great engaging world where toddlers learn and explore.
After School Care
After School Care
Older children can arrive after the school day ends. Once enrolled, your child will get homework help, computer time, and reading time. Physical activity is part of the after school program because it is essential to kids' healthy development. It may mean free play outside, weather permitting, structured games, or both.
After school program hours and pickup policy
After school care begins at 2:15 PM and ends at 5:30 PM. Lateness will be charged by the minute after 5:45 PM. If no one has shown up to pick up a child by 6:30 PM, DHS Child Protection Services will be called with no exceptions. Only approved adults may pick-up a child from after school care just as it is with day care. Parents will designate specific people for pick-up, and children will not be released to anyone else for any reason.
There is a schedule for play, story time, snacks, and rest. Very young babies like to watch the activity of the older ones and learn a great deal from their interaction with each other and the adults that care for them. Curiosity is good within the confines of safety.
